What is a sommelier?

A sommelier is a professional wine bartender or a waiter, a professional in viticulture. Sommelier knows all the subtleties of wine, manages its preparation and serving process, is able to distinguish poor wine from good. It is a man, who knows which wine is before his eyes from only smelling or tasting it. It is a heavily subtle and luxurious specialty, because sommelier is working in the fanciest restaurants, attends high-profile events, where he serves his wine.
